Study Abroad: International Mobility for Boğaziçi Students

Boğaziçi University encourages you to study abroad for a semester. Why? Because it will change your life and the way you look at the world!

Studying abroad as part of your education is one of the best ways for you to develop skills you will need in a global world. It will push you to get out of your comfort zone, to experience another culture, language, environment, and education system. It will teach you to appreciate difference and diversity first hand, and enable you to recognize — and then reject —stereotypes you may not even know you have about people you have never met.

A study abroad experience, whether through Exchange, Mevlana or Erasmus+, is about more than just taking courses and exams in another country; it ultimately brings you closer to the world and the people in it.

To facilitate your study abroad experience, Boğaziçi University maintains a select portfolio of partner institutions around the world for student exchange. Here are a few things to keep in mind as you consider your options:

As Boğaziçi students, you must be enrolled at Boğaziçi and pay your regular tuition fee. The institution you are nominated for (your host university) waives all tuition and registration fees, but you are responsible for your travel, lodging, and living expenses. Some of these exchange agreements are covered under the Erasmus Program and partially funded by the European Union.
