Exchange Information Session - 15th December 2023

Online applications for the Exchange programs for the 2024-2025 academic year will be available from December 6, 2023 (11:00 am) to December 25, 2023 (01:00 pm).

There will be an Exchange Information Session on December 15th at 14.00 in Demir Demirgil Hall / South Campus.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • You can apply via BUIS / ÖBİKAS.
  • Please visit the “Exchange Partner’s List” for the Exchange Placement read the "Notes, Criteria and Areas" carefully, and make your choices accordingly.
  • Due to unforeseeable circumstances, quota and term information may change during the application period and can lead to loss of placement.
  • Please check the Host Institutions’ application requirements beforehand as they have the right to update their requirements.
  • If you would like to review your application, you should check the "Exchange Partner’s List" again. Exchange Partner List is still being updated.
  • If you change your department, it may cause the cancellation of your application.
  • If you previously participated in an Exchange Programme, you can apply again; however, 10 points will be deducted.
  • You can participate in the Exchange Programme maximum of 2 semesters in total, either in the same academic year or the following years at the same academic level.
  • If you participate in a 1-year Exchange Programme, then you will not be able to apply for Exchange Programmes.
  • For 1 year programs, please select the Fall term.
  • After you sign the letter of commitment, if you revoke your application, 10 points will be deducted for your next Exchange Programmes application either in the same academic year or the following years.
  • Erasmus Applications are planned to be opened in February. This application period and the aforementioned rules are only for Exchange agreements.
  • If you do not have a BUEPT result, please send your IELTS / TOEFL results after you complete your application (even if you sent it to us in previous applications).
  • After your first BUEPT results, if you increased your BUEPT Grade, please send it after you complete your application (even if you sent it us in previous applications).
  • Universities in the UK and Switzerland are considered our Exchange partners; therefore you can select them in Exchange applications instead of Erasmus applications.
  • No grant will be given for Exchange Programs.
  • Students who plan to go to Switzerland should get information about the grant from the institution they are planning to go to.
  • In April 2024, it is planned that there will be Exchange applications only for Spring 2025.
  • If you sign the letter of commitment for Spring 2025, then you will not be able to select the Spring term in Erasmus applications. Also, you will not be able to apply for the Exchange applications in April 2024.
  • If you sign the letter of commitment for Fall 2024, then you will not be able to select the Fall term in Erasmus applications.
  • If currently you are a last-year student or Spring 2025 will be your last semester, your academic advisor must confirm that you will study at Boğaziçi University for at least 1 more semester after you return from your Exchange program.
